1992 Harley-Davidson Sportster by Dougz Custom Paint & Fabrication

Dubbed Pro-Tour “S,” this 1992 Harley-Davidson Sportster was built by the seller’s shop, Dougz Custom Paint & Fabrication , from 2005 to 2011 using custom bodywork, a 6″-extended swingarm, drop-seat frame modifications, a Batwing-style fairing, a custom five-gallon fuel tank, and a custom two-into-one exhaust system. Its V-twin was sourced from a 2003 883cc Sportster and was modified by Hammer Performance to displace 1,275cc, and it is paired with a five-speed transmission and a drive belt. Additional modifications include a Rocker 19″ front wheel, a GSX-R windscreen, Big Twin air shocks, a Dyna ignition, an Autometer multifunction gauge, and heated grips. Pro-Tour “S” is now offered with a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name. The custom bodywork consists of a one-piece rear fender and saddlebag unit as well as custom side covers, a five-gallon fuel tank, a wrapped front fender, and a Batwing-style fairing with a clear windshield. The rear fender piece folds rearward to access the storage compartments. The frame was modified for a drop-seat saddle configuration, with the custom solo seat sitting 22″ off the ground while the bike maintains 5.5″ of ground clearance to the bottom frame rails. The bike was fitted with a 19″ five-spoke wheel from a Rocker and a 17″ alloy rear wheel, and they wear 120/90 front and 180/17 rear Avon tires. Suspension consists of a conventional telescopic fork as well as dual Big Twin-style air shocks mounted to the 6″-extended box-section swingarm. Braking is from a single disc at each end. The black-finished handlebar carries heated grips, black-finished controls, and dual mirrors, and it frames an Autometer analog speedometer and tachometer multifunction gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 1,400 miles, though total mileage is unknown. The air-cooled V-twin was sourced from a 2003 883cc Sportster and it was modified by Hammer Performance to displace 1,275cc with a big-bore kit. It also features a Dyna ignition, a custom two-into-one exhaust system, an S&S Cycle teardrop air intake, and an aluminum drive pulley. Power is routed to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive belt. The seller shares the following remarks about the showcard displayed above: “In 2007, the builder was selected as one of only 50 builders worldwide to participate in the S&S Cycle 50th Anniversary celebration. The resulting S&S 50th Anniversary motorcycle was the Pro-Tour ‘X’, which won the People’s Choice award competing with some of the top bike builders from the US and beyond. It was subsequently featured prominently in IronWorks magazine. The Pro-Tour ‘X’ and the Pro-Tour ‘S’ share the same design lineage, with the ‘S’ representing the builder’s own continuation and interpretation of that concept.”
